BEE: Built in 1901--was originally the steam tug Nellie Pearsonfor Everett Tug & Barge and then Washington Tug & Barge. In 1920, rebuilt as the motor tug Bee and fitted with a Fairbanks-Morse. Rebuilt in the 1990s in Port Townsend. She was also fitted with a 6-cylinder Atlas Model #6HM464. (It is 1 of 2 Atlas engines of this size still functioning.The Bee's Atlas-Imperial engine was originally the starboard engine of the M/V Teddy. It uses a sliding camshaft rather than the latch shaft typical in Atlas-Imperial engines.) Spare engine parts included. Bee has no leaks below the waterline; top-side needs some work. CREOSOTE: 54' wood tug - "Creosote" was built locally in 1921 by the Ballard Shipyard for the Wycoff Creosote Plant. She still has the original tow winch and anchor windlass in good working condition. The current owner lived aboard an 87' tug for many years and upon moving back on land purchased "Creosote". He has replaced planks where need, waterproofed the decks, replaced the fuel tanks, and replaced the exhaust system. She was pulled and bottom painted last summer too!
