Welcome Aboard!
The International Retired Tugboat Association is a community of tugboats & workboats, mostly older and retired or semi-retired, and tugboat & workboat enthusiasts. We are mostly located in the Pacific Northwest, although we do have representation on the North Coast, the "Right Coast," and the rest of the, er, Left Coast! We get together to share tall tales and information about buying, selling, owning, maintaining, and appreciating these unique boats, with their interesting character and histories.
This is our "netshed" on the Web, a place to share those tall tales, advice, sightings, and pictures. Have a look around, add your own tall tales, and let us know what else you'd like to see!

Olympia This Weekend!
Don't forget, this weekend -- Sept 3, 4, 5 -- is Olympia Harbor Days, the de facto IRTA event of Late Summer. For more information, see their web site at harbordays.com, including how to get driving directions, as the event is in a slightly different location from previous years (due to construction). FRIDAY evening is the IRTA potluck, aboard GALENE. If you will be attending, please let us know and we'll pass it on to Skip & Marty, who have graciously offered to host the party.
Tugboat Photos?
We're always looking for more tugboat photos to share with the group. If you have photos of boats, recent tug events or historical photos you'd like to share, please send 'em our way and we'll get 'em up here. We're currently looking for any photos of recent summer events or boats in our Boat Roster currently without photos. Thanks!
